The goal of this review is to present the trends regarding attacks and threats, and to help readers to better protect their assets.

For 2016, Cert-IST identified several major topics:

  • Theft of data still evolving
  • Bank attacks, the SWIFT network in sights
  • Ransomware more and more fashionable
  • Cyber-espionage of State
  • ...

The report presents also (in Chapter 3) the different productions of the Cert-IST in 2016 and associated statistics. We can see a constant increase of security advisories over the past seven years.
