The Cert-IST (Computer Emergency Response Team - Industry, Services and Tertiary), created in 1999 by a consortium of French companies, became a not for profit association in 2003. This new organisation strengthens the perenniality of the Cert-IST and guarantees its independence. The association is made of  partner members and adherent members.

Partner members, responsible for service strategy, are the CNES, France Telecom, Sanofi Aventis and the Alcatel-Lucent group. They have access to all the Cert-IST service. Adherent members have a partial access to the services.

With an experience gathered since 1994, the Alcatel-Lucent Security Practice ensures Cert-IST services.
