The Cert-IST association has been declared as "non-profit organization" with the 2688 number on the "Journal Officiel" dated April 26, 2003. This declaration can be checked online.

On February 4, 2003 took place the constituent assembly of the Association. Its statutes define two kinds of members :

• the partner members. Those members take part in the Cert-IST steering commitee. They have the advantage of all the services provided by the Cert-IST.
• the adherent members. Those members have access to the Cert-IST services they subscribe to.
